Top 8 Low Paced Little Rock Attractions

Not everyone wants the adrenaline rush that comes with hiking up a mountain or staying out all night at a club. There are many among us who would prefer a nice, leisurely day in the Rock. If you are one of those who prefer a slower pace, this list is for you.

1. Arkansas Queen Riverboat Cruise

You don't have to hike alongside the river to see the beautiful views Little Rock has to offer. The Arkansas Queen offers leisurely cruises year round. They have everything from sightseeing cruises to dinner cruises and the prices are reasonable. Reservations required. Call 501-372-5777 for more info.

2. Murry's Dinner Playhouse

Murry's is lots of fun and it's great for those who don't like a lot of strenuous activity. You get buffet dinner and a great show at Murry's. While the dinner isn't the best buffet you'll find in Little Rock, the combination is a win. Tickets start at $26. Call 501-562-3131.

3. Clinton Library

The Clinton Library is a must see attraction and it's perfect for those who like to take it slow. There is a bit of walking but you can go at a slow pace and it's is handicap accessible.

4. Aerospace Education Center & Imax

The IMAX has a six story high screen with a six-channel, 16,500 watt sound system. Even though the films shown are educational, an IMAX film is a unique and fun experience.

5. River Market

The River Market district is the place to go for those looking for a great time at night, but during the day it's a bit of a slower pace. You can walk by the river, shop the farmer's market when in season or just people watch in one of the many restaurants and shops.

6. Spas and Bathhouses

Hot Springs isn't too far from Little Rock and they have bath house row along with many quaint shops and nice restaurants that make for a relaxing day. You can also check out a spa in Little Rock for a relaxing couple of hours without the travel.

7. Botanical Gardens

Walking through a botanical garden is very relaxing. There are a few small gardens in Little Rock but the bigger botanical gardens are outside of the city. Unfortunately, if you don't like to walk at all, gardens aren't for you.

8. Wildlife Watching

There's nothing more relaxing for some that bird or wildlife watching. Arkansas is the natural state and we have many parks that have been kept wild just for the purpose. You can also view some wildlife without leaving the city limits. The zoo is a great place to watch animals too and it's not large enough to be a chore to walk through.
