Discount Tickets For Summer

By Amanda Galiano, About.com

Everyone could use a little break from high admission fees. With gas prices being so, even national theme parks are offering discounted admission to ease the price burden. Some local attractions also have discounted summer admission to help your family have a good time for a great price.
  • The Little Rock Zoo - Through Labor Day 2008, kids twelve and under get in free. Cafe Africa is also having a promotion. Hot dogs are just $1, making a day at the zoo even more economical. Regular adult admission is $8 and there must be one adult for every 10 kids admitted. Regular children's admission is $6.
  • Wild River Country - For a discount at Wild River Country, try going after 3 p.m. Admission after 3 p.m. is just $19.99. Normally admission is $29.99. Open until 10:00 p.m. most days. Some area sonics also have coupons for daytime admission.
  • Magic Springs - After 5 p.m. admission is $35.99. Normal admission is $45.99. Discount coupons are often found in local papers, at backyard burgers and in the Hot Springs Visitor's Guide found at area hotels or downloaded (PDF). Open until 7 p.m. on most nights.
  • Museum of Discovery - No admission charge from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on the Second Sunday of each month.
