Imagine A Restaurant

This restaurant is so new, they've barely opened their doors. There's nothing really bad about it, but I think it's too young to earn a stellar review.

It has the perfect atmosphere for a romantic date or a shopping trip to the Parisian.

Little Rock lacks the selection of upscale dining that most major cities have. Imagine A Restaurant is a new upscale restaurant made to match the new upscale shops in Pleasant Ridge.

The decor in Imagines matches the ambiance of the new shopping center. It's elegant and modern. This would be a great place for a romantic date but it would also work for a day after shopping at Parisian.

The service on my visit did leave a little to be desired but this was the week after their grand opening. I am sure it will quickly improve. The restaurant's website says that all waiters undergo extensive training and try all dishes and it does show. The waiters were knowledgeable about the menu and offered suggestions and favorites when asked.

Imagine uses fresh and locally grown ingredients whenever possible. Prices range from $10-30 and you can view a menu on their website. The menu online wasn't what I was presented with on my visit but it was similar. I suspect they are trying a more limited menu for now.

The menu features seafood, steak, chicken and some pasta. People were raving about the mussels and the chicken was perfectly cooked, even if a bit ordinary.

I think Imagine could probably be an excellent restaurant someday and I will revisit this review. I don't think you will be disappointed with the food. I don't think you'll be ahh-ed by it either. I guess I expect a lot when a restaurant is promoted as fine dining.
