A great way to spend an evening is to get together with your friends and play some pool. Little Rock has a few fun places where you can play pool and relax a bit.
1) West End Smokehouse and Tavern
West End has pool tables but they also have live music and great food. If you like sports, West End has numerous television sets all set to different (sometimes the same) sporting events. They're open until 2 am so you can play all night. Located on 215 N. Shackleford. Call 501-224-7665.
2) Fox and the Hound
Fox and the Hound is a chain sports bar located right over the river in North Little Rock. You, or someone in your party, must be a member to get in (it's just a $5 fee). They have pool tables, dart boards and televisions galore. The food isn't that bad either! They're open until 1:30. Located on 2800 Lakewood Village Drive. Call 501-753-8300.
3) Underground Pub
The Underground Pub has darts, pool and fooseball. They have a British theme and the food to match. If you're looking for dinner, The Underground wouldn't be my first suggestion. On some nights, they have live music. They are open until 2 am and located on 500 E. Markham. Call 501-707-2537.
4) Professor Bowl
Professor Bowl is more well known for its bowling than its pool, but they do have a few pool tables in the back. Bowling and pool are a great combination! Located on 901 Towne Oaks. Call 501-224-9040.
5) Midtown Billiards
Midtown Billiards is open until 5:00 am so they get the really late owls and sometimes celebrities come in when they're in town. It is a private club (member fee). There is live music on some nights. They're said to have one of the best burgers in town so if you're out late and looking for good food, this is the place to go! Located on 1316 S. Main St. Call 501-372-9990
6) Arena Billiards Bar & Grill
Arena Billiards is open until 2:00 most nights. They have five televisions and seven and nine foot tables. I'm told this is where serious pool players go to play. Located on 314 Maple St in North Little Rock. Call 501-374-POOL (501-374-7665).
