It is possible to find a hotel downtown that won't break the bank. It won't have the ducks, the fancy restaurants or the luxurious suites, but, if you're like me, you won't be staying in the room much anyway! Little Rock has plenty of great restaurants downtown and you can visit the ducks almost anytime you want. If you're coming in just to go to Alltel Arena, this hotel is just about a mile away. It's also fairly easy to cross the bridge and see the sites on the Little Rock side if you like, and North Little Rock has a busy downtown area too. Reviews have said this hotel sounds better on paper than in real life, but what do you expect for such a great price? Average rate: $50.

They don't have much in the way of amenities but for less than $50/night what do you expect? This hotel is about 5 miles from the downtown area. There is another Super 8 (also very cheap) by the airport. Just remember that you get what you pay for and don't expect lux digs. They do have enjoy complimentary continental breakfasts. I will add that neither are in the very best "part of town," but they are not in an overtly dangerous one either. Average rate: $45.
