Pavilion Rentals in Little Rock Arkansas

Picnic, Reunion and Group Rentals

By , About.com Guide

Looking for a place to host an outdoor group event? It's always a hassle trying to find that perfect place. Here are some of my favorite places that I've either hosted an event or been to an event.

1. Sherwood Forest

1111 West Maryland Avenue
Sherwood, AR 72120
501-835-8909
Sherwood Forest is probably the most all encompassing venue for a picnic or group event. They have indoor rooms and an outdoor pavilion. The indoor rooms come complete with a kitchen. Outdoors has miniature golf, horseshoes, baseball, basketball and badminton/volleyball. There are also grills. The cost is a bit steeper than the other pavilions: $150.

2. Maumelle Park

9009 Pinnacle
Little Rock AR 72223
501-868-9477 (park) / 1-877-444-6777(reservations)
Maumelle Park has campsites but it also has "shelters" which are pavilions with grills and tables. It's location on the Arkansas River gives it great scenery and perhaps a bit cooler temperature in the hot summer months. In addition, they have numerous pavilions available. It's also located near Pinnacle Mountain but the amenities and services are a bit nicer than those at Pinnacle. It would make a great place to picnic after a hike. You can reserve at Recreation.gov or by calling.

3. Murray Park

Rebsamen Park Rd.
Little Rock, AR 72207
501-371-4770
Murray Park has 8 pavilions and is located on Murray Lock and Dam. It even has a boat dock. Great for fishing. The park has three soccer fields and two playgrounds.

4. Burns Park

Interstate 40, Exit 150
North Little Rock, AR 72118
501-753-7307
One of the biggest city parks in the country, Burns Park has plenty of things for you and your group to do from an amusment park to soccer fields.

5. Pinnacle Mountain State Park

11901 Pinnacle Valley Rd.
Roland, AR 72135
Pinnacle Mountain is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. They have many picnic tables and two pavilions available for rental. One drawback is that customer service at this state park is the pits! They have either been rude or completely unhelpful every time I've tried to book a pavilion or been at an event. Another drawback is that the park gets very crowded during peak hours and some of your guests may not be able to park. Still, the scenery is great. Pavilion rentals are $70.
