Father's Day Gift Ideas in Little Rock

1. Take Him To A Travs Game

Father's Day is a Travs home game at Dickey-Stephens Stadium. They have a special promotion for dads too. The first 2000 adults get a free Travs "Father's Day" Baseball. After the game kids are invited onto the field to run the bases. The entire family gets in for $10. The game starts at 6:00 p.m.

2. Take Him To Dinner

Little Rock has some great restaurants for dads. Most dads are serious carnivores. Gaucho's Grill is for serious meat eaters. The restaurant is pricey, but dad is worth it. Capriccio Grill at the Peabody is also very nice. Sonny Williams Steak room would be on my list, but they're closed on Sundays. You could always take dad on Saturday. Sonny Williams is said by many to be the best steak in town.

3. Take Him On An Adventure

If your dad is adventurous, you can take him hiking, rafting, biking or even sky diving. What dad wouldn't love to go sky diving? Blanchard Springs Wild Cave Tours are available on Father's Day weekend. Any state park would be a good hike.

Pinnacle is offering father's day cruises on June 14. A cruise isn't white water rafting, but I'm sure you could convince dad that it's the same general idea.

4. Take Him "Camping" At Memphis Zoo

Memphis Zoo, just a two hour drive, is having a special Father's Day snooze on Friday, June 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. The cost is $50 per person and pre-registration is required. You and your dad will get to spend the night at the zoo. Visitors will learn about animal fatherhood, tour part of the Zoo on a moonlight safari and play some exciting games. This is great fun for younger kids. The Little Rock Zoo is having breakfast with the giraffees on June 20 from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. They also have their Winged Wonders show, so you could make a day out of it.

5. Take Him Golfing

Many dads would appreciate a nice, relaxing day of golf. Arkansas has many courses that are available to the public.

6. Take Him To A State Park

Many state parks have something special going on for Father's Day. Petit Jean has the 51st Annual Car Show and Swap Meet through June 20th. Queen Wilhelmina has a special Father's Day buffet. There is a fishing tournament at Bull Shoals and birdhouse building at Lake Catherine.
