July Festivals & Events in Little Rock and Arkansas

These are one time or annual events, in most cases. Looking for exhibits, theater and other recurring events?

Throughout the spring and summer Cajun's has their deck parties every Thursday night and the Peabody Hotel has their Rivertop Parties every Friday night.

Movies in the Park is every Wednesday in the River Market amphitheater and River Flicks is every Thursday in North Little Rock.

Farmer's Markets are located at a few places in the city, and are generally Tuesday and Saturday.

The Elvis at 21 photography exhibit opens June 6 at the Clinton Center. It runs through August 21.

Fourth of July

July 6 -

  • Free Doubletree Cookies from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. the "DoubleTree by Hilton Cookie CAREavan" will be at the Doubletree in downtown Little Rock giving away free cookies.
  • Legacies and Lunch is from 12-1 p.m. at the Main Library. Learn about the new Arkansas History Hub.

July 7 -

  • The Hillcrest Ice Cream Social is at 5:30 p.m. Music, food, drinks and merchant specials too.
  • Brown Bag Lunch Lecture at the Old State House Museum at 12 p.m. Dr. Jay Barth talks about the 2001 court ruling that declared Arkansas's public education system unconstitutionally inadequate and inequitable

  • Fiddle Workshops at Wildwood Park. There are two scheduled. It's $35 for one workshop or $60 for both. 501-821-7275.
  • Twilight 5K and Fun Run at 5:30 p.m. to benefit The Arkansas Foundation for Skin Cancer. Register online.

July 11-15 -

  • Rock N' Roll Camp from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Clinton Presidential Center. This camp is for 7th and 8th grade students.

July 14 -

  • The Central Arkansas Genealogical and Historical Society presents Conduction Oral History Interviews at 6 p.m. at the Arkansas Studies Institute, 401 President Clinton Ave. 501-912-3587.

July 15 -

  • The Eureka Springs Fat Tire Festival is competitive and non-competitive mountain bike events for adults and kids.

July 16 -

  • Miss Arkansas Pageant at 10 a.m. in Hot Springs. Admission is $10. Located at the Hot Springs Convention Center at 134 Convention Blvd. 501-321-2027.
  • Tre Day Annual Bowling Bash at Millennium Bowl in Maumelle. This event is to support the TreDay Scholarship program. It includes professional bowler Pete Weber and a silent auction.

July 21 -

  • Around the World Thursdays at Forty Two presents Santa Fe, New Mexico at 7 p.m. It's $27.95 per person; reservations required. Call 501-537-0042.

July 23 -

  • Breakfast with Lorikeets from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Little Rock Zoo. 501-661-7218.
