Winged Wonders at the Little Rock Zoo
Special Bird Show for the Summer of 2009

From Amanda Galiano, About.com

This summer the Little Rock Zoo has some special guests who've flown in all the way from Saint Louis. And no, their wings aren't tired. They are ready to fly all over the Little Rock Zoo.

Little Rock has about a dozen animals visiting from Saint Louis' famous World Bird Sanctuary.

They have several exotic birds including a red-legged seriema, a bateleur eagle, a king vulture and a a parrot who speaks on queue. It's a cute, fun show with birds flying all over the audience and tons of "ohh" "ahhh" moments. It's a real treat to have them here.

The show is free with zoo admission, and you can see the birds three times a day (10:30, 12:30 & 2:30) starting April 4 and continuing through August.

The best seats if you want birds flying over your head are in the middle. To get pictures, sit on the aisle stage left (near spider monkeys), towards the center.
