Adults can better themselves without going back to school! Find a hobby, craft or skill with these great classes or go for your degree!

1. Museum School - Arkansas Arts Center

The Arkansas Arts Center offers classes for adults in art appreciation & art history, drawing, jewelry, painting, photography, pottery/clay and woodworking. They also offer classes for kids. See the entire catalog on their site.

2. Rick's Dive Center

Rick's a PADI Scuba Diver Training Center has one of the largest dive equipment inventories in the Southwest, a variety of class options, indoor heated pool on premises, full service department, equipment rentals, air fills and you can go on local, coastal, Caribbean and specialty dive vacations around the world. I have a lot of friends who recommend Rick's as the best place to learn to dive in the state.

3. Arkansas Extended Learning Center

The extended learning center offers classes in a variety of areas including wine tasting, home decor, fly fishing, golf, languages and computing. You can see their full offerings and schedule online. Classes are held at different locations. See their schedule for details.

4. Little Rock Learning Center: SeniorNet

UAMS and the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging are the Little Rock hosts of SeniorNet. SeniorNet provides computer training to Seniors aged 50 and over. Classes are offered on the UAMS campus. Nine courses of instruction are offered, beginning with Introduction to Computers. Each course consists of sixteen hours of hands on training in a classroom with eleven computers.

5. Conway Adult Education Center

Learn basic skills in math, reading and English and life skills such as money management, nutrition, decision making, planning for the future, and job-seeking skills. You can also prepare for your GED.

6. River Market Cooking

Cooking day classes are periodically offered at the River Market, generally on a Saturday. They are lead by Arkansas' top chef's. Check the schedule for times and information.
