1. Alley Oops - Chenal

If you're looking for a casual sports bar with homemade food and great desserts, Alley Oops is the right place.

2. Brave New Restaurant - Riverdale

Brave New Restaurant is well known to Little Rock residents as one of the best restaurants in the city. It's elegant interior, excellent food and attentive staff set it apart. It is fine dining so it is a bit pricey but well worth it.

3. Brownings Mexican - Hillcrest / Heights

Browning is a staple in Little Rock with a taste you won't find anywhere else and that many people find a turn-off. They recently changed their menu up a bit.

4. Cafe Prego - Hillcrest / Heights

Cafe Prego has a great staff, a casual atmosphere that will work for business lunches or romantic nights out and a simple menu. It's a great place for a quick Italian lunch in the Heights. One reviewer says, "Prego is still one of the best "buys" in Little Rock. Solid staff, good food, decent wines, reasonable prices. You can go "up-market," but you won't find anywhere as consistent, steady, and enjoyable on a day-to-day basis. If possible, take the time to get acquainted with Jacqueline and her son Louis who run the place. Good people who care about your business."

5. Cantina Laredo - Midtowne Little Rock

Amanda Galiano

"Gourmet Mexican" located in Midtowne Little Rock. One reviewer says, "The food quality is above standard Tex-Mex, but not the best in Little Rock."

6. Capi's - Pleasant Ridge Towncenter

The menu centers around the idea of global tapas, or small plates, drawing influence from Spanish, Asian, Mexican, and Southern cuisine. One reviewer says, "If you’re just thinking “sandwich / salad / plate lunch” then, yeah, maybe not as big a variety as Trio’s. . .there are probably 14 different “small plates” in addition to the other menu offerings for lunch.

7. Casa Manana - Cantrell

Casa Manana Chicken TacosAmanda Galiano

Local Mexican "chain" (3 locations) that features Mexican cuisine and moderate/inexpensive pricing. The menu has some unique choices and sauces, and some call it the best in the city. I would not go that far, but they are good. They have one of the best outdoor patios in the city and a breakfast menu.

8. Copeland's - Shackelford Crossings in Little Rock

This New Orleans style restaurant has hit or miss service. One reviewer says, "Just don't expect ANY service or a hello or a goodbye after your loooonnnnnggggg dining experience."

9. Copper Grill - Downtown Little Rock

Copper Grill SaladAmanda Galiano

Modern setting great for business casual lunches or romantic dinners. Offers a wide variety of choices and reasonable prices. The Copper Grill Grocery is right next door so you can pick up some quick fix dinners if you don't want to dine in or you can get to go from the grill.

10. Cregeen's Irish Pub Review - North Little Rock / Argenta

Cregeen's is definitely an authentic Irish Pub. The furniture is imported from Ireland. Even more surprisingly, the actual pub was built in Dublin, Ireland and shipped to the US. It's quickly becoming a favorite place for late night fun on the North Little Rock side of the River.
