21. Cafe Prego - Hillcrest / Heights
Cafe Prego has a great staff, a casual atmosphere that will work for business lunches or romantic nights out and a simple menu. It's a great place for a quick Italian lunch in the Heights. One reviewer says, "Prego is still one of the best "buys" in Little Rock. Solid staff, good food, decent wines, reasonable prices. You can go "up-market," but you won't find anywhere as consistent, steady, and enjoyable on a day-to-day basis. If possible, take the time to get acquainted with Jacqueline and her son Louis who run the place. Good people who care about your business."22. The Flying Fish - Downtown
Casual dining with great prices. The Flying Fish has great food with no frills. With quirky decor and self-serve dining, this is the perfect place for a quick lunch or a casual dinner.
23. Forbidden City Chinese Restaurant - Park Plaza Mall
While the Forbidden City Chinese Restaurant isn't the best Chinese food in Little Rock, it's really good food and it's much better than what you'd expect to find a mall food court. It's a great place to gather some energy to finish your shopping trip or make a special trip if you want Chinese cusine.24. Gaucho's Grill - Shackleford
Best known for delivering all you can eat meat on skewers, Gaucho's makes for unique dining, but they are expensive. Great place for out of town visitors or special events.25. Ozark Mountain Smokehouse - Keightly Dr
One of the best places to get breakfast in the city. One reviewer says, "We love this place. The country breakfast is amazing. I have turned many people on to this place & they all love it. The atmosphere is very smoky. Don't go for lunch during the week when you have to go back to work because you will smell like smoke all day."26. The Oyster Bar - Markham
The Oyster Bar is hidden away at 3003 West Markham Street but it's worth looking for. It's the perfect place to go for a quick lunch, especially if you work in the area.27. Murry's Dinner Playhouse
Murry's is great for a nice night out at a reasonable price. It's a bit hidden but worth the search. It's a buffet dinner and a show.28. Loca Luna - Hillcrest / Heights
Loca Luna has been featured in national magazine for it's upscale Southern cooking. However, many locals find it a bit overrated. One reviewer says, "Cheese dip, drinks, service, atmosphere, food all too expensive. It used to be a nice place but now its just overpriced family dining."29. Rumba Revolution - Downtown
Rumba has great food. The atmosphere is fun and exciting and the service is decent. If you're looking for moderately priced Mexi-Cuban food in the Rivermarket, try them out. The music room is "next door" so you can dance after your meal if you like.
31. The Villa Italian Restaurant - Chenal
This is a Little Rock staple that's moved several times. One reviewer says, "I've been eating at The Villa since its' University Avenue days and it is a great restaurant. The Pizzas are fun and different and yes, their "Villa Salad" with its chunky cheese is great! They cater, too, and can make anything to go. The staff is great at helping figure out how much food you need for a crowd."
