Friendly service.
Great food.
Reasonable prices.
Not a whole lot of menu choices (sandwiches, salads mostly), probably better for a quick bite rather than a real dinner.
Taziki's Greek Fare - 10/9/08 (opening week)
The one disappointing thing about the restaurant is that the selection of menu items is quite small. They have about a dozen sandwiches, some pitas and salads. They also have four "Greek feast" options. You can read their menu online. Prices are reasonable. Average is $7-8.
I opted for the tomato basil sandwich ($5.95) and a Greek salad ($6.25). They were both pretty good. The bread, basil and cheese tasted fresh. The sandwiches come with either potatoes, rice, a salad, pasta salad or fruit. I opted for the pasta salad. The pasta salad was a little tart for my taste, but it was filled with fun chunks of feta and olives and some people like a tart pasta salad. The people sitting next to me got potatoes and a gyro, which also looked delicious. I'll try the potatoes next time. Perhaps the menu has a bit too much feta, but I guess that is what Americans associate with Greek food.
The service was very friendly. It had the feel of a family operation, even though they are a small chain. They were very friendly and professional.
They'd make a great lunch stop if you work in the Cantrell area or a dinner stop if you're looking for a quick bite. They have catering and to-go options as well.

I tried to eat at Taziki’s last Saturday night but I waited in line for 10 minutes to order at the counter and the line never moved. We left, along with a few others who had a similar experience. I will try again when they get a little better at it.

I ate there last week. Delicious! You have to try the pasta Friday (I think it has a particular name). The Gyros are great as well. Solid Greek food and friendly service. I would certainly recommend it.
