The food quality is above standard Tex-Mex, but not the best in Little Rock
Kind of pricey
Great service
Nice atmosphere
Guide Review - 09/03/08
The atmosphere is classy with low lighting and white table clothes, but not too classy for jeans. They call themselves "gourmet Mexican food." What they have is classic Mexican dishes (enchiladas, chile rellenos, tacos, etc) with gourmet sauces like moles, chipotle sauces, cascabel sauces, etc. Fresh fish is supposed to be flown in daily for their specials and seafood dishes.
The service was great on my visit. I ordered the enchiladas de mole, and my waiter warned me that the dish was complex. He warned me that he wasn't the biggest fan of the sauce. He offered to bring me a sample to taste even. He even checked on me after I tried it to make sure I like it.
I like the mole sauce. We also liked the cheese enchiladas we had and the two kinds of salsa. They offer a warm tomatillo salsa and a cold red salsa. I preferred the tomatillo but my dining partner preferred the red. The cheese dip was average.
The cost is a bit steep. Enchiladas de mole were about $12. The cheese dip was $6 for a cup. Those reflect the average prices. You can check out their menu online.
Overall, it was a positive experience. I will visit again.
