Brave New Restaurant

Brave New Restaurant is well known to Little Rock residents as one of the best restaurants in the city. It's elegant interior, excellent food and attentive staff set it apart. It is fine dining so it is a bit pricey but well worth it.

I was talking about the best restaurants in Little Rock with a friend and realized that I hadn't reviewed Brave New Restaurant. I guess it's because it seems like such a given. When you ask couples where they're going for their anniversary, businessmen where they entertain clients or anyone with a special evening planned where they're going, you've got a good chance of getting Brave New as the answer. Brave New is consistently voted as one of the best restaurants in Little Rock and there's a good reason for it.

Part of Brave New's appeal is the atmosphere: the wonderful view of the Arkansas river, elegant banquet hall and modern decor all help create a wonderful atmosphere.

Part of its appeal is the staff. The wait staff is well versed in the menu and very attentive to guests. It's quite common to see Peter or Marie Brave (the owners) at the restaurant, chatting with patrons. You can't ask for better service.

A large part of the appeal is the food. The restaurant uses the freshest of ingredients. The menu is heavy on seafood but they have pork tenderloin, a few vegetable dishes, veal, steak and some of the best desserts in Little Rock. The seasonal specials are always worth trying.

Expect to pay $20-30 for entrees and around $10 for appetizers and desserts. It's one of the pricer places in Little Rock but it's well worth it. Lunch is a bit cheaper if you're on a budget.
