*Baseline/Geyer Springs Taco Trucks and Market
If you like real authentic Mexican food and a real Mexican experience, Baseline and Geyer Springs are for you. Pretty much any taco truck on Baseline is worth trying. The Mexican supermarkets La Regional and Mercado San Jose have dining areas. La Vaquera and Taqueria Samantha are my fave taco trucks. They are both super cheap, super authentic and super delicious. La Vaquera is normally at 731 Baseline Road, Taqueria Samantha at 7521 Geyer Springs Road, La Regional at 7414 Baseline Road and Mercado San Jose at 7411 Geyer Springs Road. Samantha is so good, one of my friends brought his visiting parents to it. You can also check out the University Market at Four Corners for food trucks (located at 6221 Colonel Glenn Road). $

*HB's BBQ
6010 Lancaster
Open for lunch
501-565-1930
This is my favorite BBQ in the city, and some say the closest thing to "The Shack" you can get. Older Little Rock residents fondly recall "The Shack" as the BBQ of gods. Maybe I'm building it up too much, or maybe it's worth the trouble it takes to find it. Somewhat located in a residential area. $

It's in kind of a run down part of town, but don't judge a book by it's cover. Some of the best soul food in town is behind those doors. Hit them up for lunch and you won't regret it. $

Some say the best BBQ in Little Rock. I like the Barrow location best, for quality of food. Very urban, casual location, but Barrow is a busy area. It's relatively safe, especially for lunch. $

Located along the interstate in Pulaski's tech culinary school, future chefs serve up breakfast and lunch. Good food, low prices. Check the menu first, because for me it's been hit or miss with menu options.
