I think the first Main Street Food Truck festival was a success. The proof was the long lines. A few vendors were sold out of food by two o'clock. I had to stand in line for several hours at two carts, but I think the crowds were bigger than expected. Many of the carts were offering their full menu, which made preparation slower. It was (mostly) worth the wait. It was a good sampling of Little Rock street food.

If you're like me and missed a lot of the food because you were standing in line, here's a recap of the food trucks at the festival and where you can find some of them on a normal day. I highly recommend trying them.

If you know updated information or catch a mistake, email me at littlerock.guide@about.com. I got much of this information at the festival, but most of the vendors were too slammed to talk for long, so I took some of the locations from my old food truck list. Since these vendors are mobile, I've linked to Facebook/Twitter accounts or given phone numbers. Those are the places you'll find the most up to date contact information. You can also add to my food truck review section.

  • Hot Dog Mike - Hot Dog Mike had long lines all day. His cart sets up at a different spot everyday, so check his Facebook. He won first place in the "fan favorite" contest, and was still slinging dogs when most of the other vendors had packed up. Facebook | Twitter
  • Green Cuisine - Green Cuisine is all vegetarian. They had a nice selection: veggie dogs, quesadillas and wraps. They had cake pops from Sugarcakes for a little bit. Normally located at the corner of 6th and Chester, in downtown. 501-454-7555. They were a fan favorite runner-up. Facebook | Twitter
  • Grills on Wheels - These guys were serving Mexican themed dishes, and I heard everyone raving about them. They had burritos, quesadillas, tortas and tacos. The tacos looked amazing, but I didn't get a chance to try them. They are on the corner of President Clinton Avenue and River Market. They were a fan favorite runner-up. 501-291-3350. Facebook
  • Big Poppa's Mobile - Not sure where he is on a normal day, but he was serving up corn dogs and BBQ.
  • Christians Take-Out Too - Christians restaurants is known for their wings. The food truck had those, burgers and more. The restaurant is located in Bryant at 6221 Hwy 5 N Ste 1. For the truck, call 501-291-9862.
  • Kwik Dawg Stop - A little hot dog stand. The woman running this stand seemed cheerful throughout the whole event. I think the hot dogs carts had it the best, because they had the easiest menu items.
  • Peace Hog Mobile - Peace Hog had lots of fried goodness, including fried chocolate. They also had gumbo and sausage po boys. They are one of the trucks I stopped at. They were still cheerful even though they were running low on food, and my food was great. Location changes, so check their Facebook. Facebook
  • Pierres Pizza - They have a location in Maumelle on Edgewood, and their truck is known for being the first converted RV food truck in Arkansas. They sold out pretty quick. As a matter of fact, they were sold out before I got there. I don't know what kind of pizza they were offering at the festival, but I know their restaurant has some pretty unique pizza. You can call 501-851-9300 for the restaurant, or 501-410-0377 for the truck.
  • Luncheria Mexicana Alicia - Some say this is the best taco truck in town. You be the judge. They were one of the only authentic taco trucks out there. 501-612-1883.
  • Papa's Burgers and Dogs - I think you can figure out what they were serving. They are normally located at 8509 West Markham, in the parking lot of Brady Station Post Office. 501-258-7256. Facebook | Twitter
  • Lewis & Edna's Mobile Kitchen - They were serving smoothies and a few other things. They're normally located at 4716 Baseline Rd, 501-680-5118.
  • Dream Eats - They had strawberry crepes for a few hours and everyone was raving about them. They had a variety of other foods, with a global theme. At the fest, their menu seemed mostly Spanish and Mexican influenced. They are looking for a downtown location to park in, so check their Facebook page. 501-690-8733. Facebook
  • Wishbone's - They were serving sliders, and they were always packed. I didn't get to sample the sliders, but they looked yummy. They don't have a permanent location yet, but you can contact them at curlyro88@yahoo.com or 479-739-8655.
  • Banana Leaf - This Indiana food truck is normally located at the corner of Van Buren and Markham. Well worth a visit. I think they serve some of the best Indian food in town. They tweet their specials regularly. Facebook | Twitter
  • Kristina's Hawaiian Ice - Serving Tropical Sno
  • Taqueria Jalisco San Juan - West of I-430 on Markham, in the parking lot of Colonial Wine and Spirit. They are yummy too (you almost can't go wrong with a Little Rock taco truck). 501-541-5533.
  • Other vendors said to be there included King Blvd and Le Pops gourmet popcicles, but I didn't see them.
