Do you twitter? I do. I've been on twitter for about a year now. It seems like everyone is tweeting these days. Twitter is a meta-blogging service that lets you post short, 140-character updates called "tweets." Your tweets can be news, status updates, bits of info or whatever else you want. Some people even post 140-character poetry.

Some of my favorite local bloggers are on twitter including Doug Krile, Bryan Jones, Lance Turner and Jeff Noble. Most of the local media stations are on Twitter. Even Barak Obama uses Twitter!

Twitter is free to sign up and easy to use. You can post your "tweets," or mini-updates, via the web. It can get more involved though (skip to the list if you don't care to be a power user).

You can use something like Twitter Feed to feed your blog through Twitter. Applications like Tweet Deck will allow you post from your desktop and manage your feeds. The Twitter Tips Blog has lots of fun tips and advice.
