Little Rock is the capital and largest city of Arkansas and is located in the center of the state in Pulaski County. Little Rock has a metropolitan area population of over 400,000. Little Rock has a city manager form of government. There is an eleven member board of directors with seven ward seats, three at-large seats, and the popularly-elected mayor.

The greater Little Rock metropolitan area encompasses the cities of Little Rock, North Little Rock, Benton, Bryant, Cabot, Carlisle, Conway, England, Greenbrier, Haskell, Jacksonville, Lonoke, Maumelle, Mayflower, Sherwood, Shannon Hils, Vilonia, Ward & Wrightsville.
