Although, Jason's Deli isn't strictly a Little Rock owned and operated business (they have several locations in the US) they are a very popular location for lunch in Little Rock. They are located at 301 N. Shackelford in Little Rock (501-954-8700).Jason's Deli serves deli sandwiches, soups and salads. They are also known for their mega baked potatoes. These enormous potatoes (it's 2 potatoes) are topped with tons of great toppings from the traditional sour cream & bacon, to toppings you wouldn't associate with potatoes. Potatoes are priced at $3.95-$4.95.
Their featured sandwich is the Muffaletta. This enormous sandwich (1/2 is about the size of a normal deli sandwich) have ham or turkey, provolone cheese and an olive mixture.
They have the traditional deli fair like Reubens, clubs, Italian submarines and poboys with a wide variety of meats and cheeses to choose from. Take a trip to the salad bar for a traditional salads for only $3.95. The deli sandwiches range from $3.95-$5.95.
After your meal, try a dessert. I really enjoy their strawberry shortcake ($1.95). They have many pies to choose from (lemon, pecan, Boston cream) and 3 kinds of cheesecake. The dessert selection varies from day to day.
They also cater. Box lunches, party trays, cheese trays, fruit trays, min-muff trays, super po-boy sandwiches and customized trays can be made for your party or gathering. More information and pricing is available at the restaurant or on Jason's site.
