The Arts center hosts a collection of drawings and sculpture. They have both traveling and permanent exhibits featuring local artists and artist from all over the world. The Arts Center includes the Children's Theater and hosts special activities for kids. Local artists teach adult classes there in everything from jewelry making to sculpture, and the Arts Center has a summer theater program for aspiring young thespians.

The Children's Theater:
The Children's Theater at the Arkansas Arts Center is one of the leading regional theater companies in America. They produce about six plays a year and they vary from well-known characters to newer stories. The plays are open to the public, with special performances for school groups.
The Museum School:
Museum School is a quarterly series of classes in all things art: painting, drawing, pottery, jewelry making and metals, woodworking and more. Classes are offered in all age groups from adults to kids. You can register and see the schedule on the Museum School site. Classes range in price from about $50 up to a few hundred dollars.
