Shotgun Dan's is unique pizza. It's not my style but I always hear rave reviews of it. Prices aren't too bad (more than the chains) and the service is what you'd expect in a pizza place.

I always hear people talking about how great Shotgun Dan's is. If you haven't tried it, you probably should to see if you like it. Personally, I didn't care for it but I do think it should have it's proper respect. It's not like the cardboard pizza you can get at some of the national chains. It has a unique, homemade taste.
I don't care for the crust because it has a strong taste of yeast. However, many say that is why they love it. A friend swears that he can taste beer in the crust and that's what makes it great. Whatever the reason for a flavor, it's unique to Shotgun Dan's.
The sauce they use isn't really strong but it's good, in an understated way. They fill the pizza with toppings. There's no skimping there!
You're going to pay about $3-5 more than you would at a chain, but it's worth it for the homemade taste (if you like that). Check their website for a menu and locations.
