Midnight Magic Costume Party starts at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20. At the stroke of midnight, copies of the last Harry Potter book will go on sale. Books-A-Million (Lakewood Village Shopping Park in North Little Rock)
Join Books-A-Million for a special celebration on Friday, July 20 to celebrate the release. Books-A-Million will host costume contests, face paintings and a trivia contest at 10:00. They recommend you pre-purchase a voucher before the event so you can be guaranteed a book. The book goes on sale at 12:01. 501-771-7581 is for the Lakewood Village stores.
Wal-Mart & Sams Club
At 8:00 pm, participating Wal-mart stores around the city will be sorting witches wizards and muggles into one if the four houses. Once sorted these people will be some of the first people to get the 7th book when it comes out. Between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. you can start gathering around the Harry Potter pallet. At 12:01, they will call out the house that you were sorted in. and you can purchase the book. Some Wal-mart stores will be having, goodies and costume parties, games, trivia.
Hasting Entertainment Book Store (1421 Military Road in Benton)
Guest will get to tour Diagon Alley, participate in trivia contests, a quidditch tournament, costume contest, scavenger hunts and many more activities along with prizes and give-a-ways. 501-778-5116
Carnegie Public Library (Eureka Springs)
The Carnegie Public Library will be transformed into Hogwarts from 6-8:30 p.m. The library Annex will become Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. Admission is free. 479-253-8754
