The latest rumor has Bill and Hillary Clinton moving to semi-retirement in Ireland. Many news outlets are speculating that Bill Clinton may be made ambassador to Ireland, a country both Clintons love, and a country that loves the Clintons. You can read more about the rumors on Yahoo! News and this Irish paper. Part of the rumor that the Yahoo story leaves out is that Dan Rooney, the current ambassador to Ireland, will retire by the end of this year.
My question is, would this be a good move for the Clintons? Do you think Clinton should take an ambassador position, or keep his US address and keep globe-trotting like he does currently?

Amanda,
Bill Clinton would be a fine ambassador to Ireland, but I do not feel he could continue with his global initiatives while holding the job.
And, if Hillary Clinton pland a “Last Hurrah” run for president of the USA in 2016, when she’ll be 69, it would be a disasterous move for her and for the former president, Bill.
I’ll be interested to hear what Mike Huckabee has to say.
