The local King Commission is celebrating Martin Luther King Day by having a Day On, Not a Day Off, encouraging a day of service for Martin Luther King Day. There will be a keynote speech at noon in the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall, at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Pastor Cornell Maltbia will be the featured guest keynote speaker.
A little closer to home is the Central High Museum and Visitor's Center. The integration of Central High was some of the results of Dr. King's work.
