Have Ryan Secrest (and Kris Allen) Rock Our Town
Ryan Secrest has announced a contest where people can vote to have Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta and hometown favorite/American Idol Kris Allen appear in their hometown. Seacrest is promising the city with the most votes a free concert. As I'm posting this, Little Rock is number 2. Vote for Little Rock today.
Copyright Amanda GalianoThe contest header says "free concert." If you read the rules, it says they will do a random drawing from all the votes in a 50 mile radius of the winning town and one person will get 2 free tickets, parking and all related fees (retail $100). To me, that makes it sound like the concert is not really "free" to everyone.
Only one vote is allowed per person/email address. The rules also make no mention of Allison as a performer of the concert, but she is mentioned elsewhere. The contest is slated to run through December 18. The show is slated to take place on February 13, 2010.
In the meantime, check out these photos of Kris in Conway and Kris Allen's new CD on November 17. It features 13 tracks: "Live Like We're Dying," "Before We Come Undone," "Can't Stay Away," "The Truth," "Written All Over My Face," "Bring It Back," "Red Guitar," "Is it Over," "Let it Rain," "Alright With Me," "Lifetime," "I Need to Know" and "Heartless."

Odd. “It hasn’t been getting rave reviews, but I bet it will be a fan favorite.” I’m not sure where you’ve seen these reviews. Aside from Examiner.com article/blogs, what I’ve read has been very positive. Can you cite these reviews? Or were you qualifying so you didn’t get hammered with unwanted comments?
I think the reaction has been overall positive, but not “rave.” MTV seemed positive, but said the album does have it flaws, for example. It’s an Idol album. Nobody is going to rave about it. Maybe I should change the wording. In particular, Heartless has been criticized from what I’ve read (apparently he hits a bad note in the middle and the arrangement is weird). I will look for links to the reviews later today.
*edit* I deleted the line altogether. You are correct that it made it sound like the album was bad, and I did not mean for it to be taken that way.
Gee, what are you going to do Arkansas if you cannot vote thousands of times each? I hope your state does not win because of what you did to Adam. He is the best singer who has ever appeared on stage on American Idol and because your backward state decided state pride was more important than talent you voted and voted and voted for someone who will never have respect in the music industry because there is no legitimacy to the “win” you gave him. Are you proud Arkansas?
E.McKillop… your fanwarring is getting old. Get a life. Kris won because he was the artist the most liked!
Hope you get the ‘free’ concert in Arkansas!
sweet says…you are so misguided…..the world knows what went down, where were you? most liked? Not……the Fanwarring is getting very old …Adams fans are pretty fed up with it too….it is a two way street…Why would this be in Arkansas when 2 of them are from California…duh….
New York is winning, not CA. duh
I am sick of hearing and reading about this punk. He’s a freaking millionaire now. Him, his wife and his family are sitting pretty in their ivory palace while my wife and I are out of work. I’m supposed to support this punk while I’m drawing dole from the government? Fork over money for this kid’s CD and now concert tickets. Yeah right. His family his always acted holier than thou and I’ll be damned if I fork over a dime so he can have his fancy car and fancy house in California. You all are a bunch of suckers. The kid is living large while we are all suffering.
