Target Building at University Mall Site

By , About.com Guide   September 14, 2009

Follow me on:

The former University Mall is getting a new tenant. Strode Property Company of Dallas, Texas, today announced Target will build a new store at Strode's Park Avenue development in midtown Little Rock. The Target will open in October 2010 and preliminary site work is underway.

Thank goodness this empty eye sore is going to be utilized. Target will be part of the "Park Avenue" development which is being developed as a mixed-use open-air complex on University Avenue, near the corner of Markham Street.

You can see the plans on their website. I think it looks pretty nice. I hope it helps to revitalize the area. Midtown is nice, but Target will bring a good mid-level department store to the area
