Hot Springs Gets Perfect 10 For Saint Pats

Sunday August 23, 2009

The Arkansas Times is reporting that Bo Derek will be the celebrity grand marshal for the Hot Springs Saint Patrick's Day Parade. She will be the parade's first female grand marshal.

The parade is the "world's shortest" and was declared by Smithsonian Magazine this year as “The Quirkiest St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Earth.” It's held on March 17th on Bridge Street in downtown Hot Springs.  Bridge was named the shortest street in the world in the 1940s.

Past celebrity guests have included George Wendt (Norm from "Cheers"),  Pauley Shore,  Mario Lopez, John Ratzenberger (also from "Cheers") and Mike Rowe from ‘Dirty Jobs.’
