The Swans are Back at Magness Lake
Magness is as far south as these swans ever go. They're more common in the Midwest and Alaska. They seeem to like Heber Springs, though, and return every year.
The best time to see them? The evenings. They normally wander around being swans during the day, but in the late afternoon and evening, they head to lake and take flight. A 30 pound bird in flight is an amazing site. Imagine hundreds of 30 lbs birds in flight (granted, they don't all take flight at the same time, but you get the picture).
If you want to see them, they've started to come now and their numbers will increase up until January or so. They hang out until March. They don't have a set schedule. They can come and go as they please.
