Arkansas Olympians Running Tonight/Today

Wednesday August 20, 2008
Former Razorbacks Veronica Campbell-Brown and Fayetteville native Wallace Spearmon (he just made it it) will be competing in the 200m finals in Bejing. Actually, in Bejing, Spearman will be competing in a few hours. On NBC, it will be later tonight when you can see the race. Campbell-Brown's race is Thursday.

So far, these two runners are the Arkansans who've done the best, although we have a few Olympians who have yet to compete. Wish them luck and a gold medal for Arkansas! *Update* Wallace Spearmon finished third, but was disqualified for leaving his lane, so no bronze for him. You know he has to feel awful. Let's hope Veronica Campbell-Brown does better.

Veronica Campbell-Brown won the 200 meter Dash. Jamaica swept the men and womens 100 and 200 meter dash. Tyson Gay will anchor the USA’S 4 by 100 meter realy in qualification round. Jamaica will be hard to beat. Womens softball team is behind right now 2-1. Womens volleyball team in final. awesome neck and neck with China in medal race, but not mose important. Competing is number one.
