Blanchard Springs Caverns
The Discovery Trail
Amanda Galiano
I spent this weekend exploring the caverns at Blanchard Springs with some friends. Of course, I took some photographs. If you haven't been to Blanchard Springs Caverns in a while, you really should check it out. I hadn't been in about 15 years, and had almost forgot aww-inspiring the caverns are.

We did both the dripstone (short) and discovery (long and steep) trails. The dripstone was my favorite because you got to see more of the pretty formations in the caverns. However, many of my friends preferred the tougher, 700 step discovery trail. On that trail, you learn about and see more of the cavern's "human" history. You more or less follow the path of the original explorers. You get to see the cave's natural entrance (from below, of course) and stream.

If you haven't been in a while, check out the great 58 degree weather in the caverns. See the photos and learn more information.
