Logoly is Arkansas's first environmental education state park and the third environmental education park in the nation. The initial land was acquired in 1974 and the park officially opened in 1978.

The park has interpreters that teach groups and individuals about the plants, animals and minerals found in southwest Arkansas. The 368 acre park hosts campsites, a bathhouse, a pavilion, picnic tables, a playground, trails, a classroom, a small pond, several woodland streams and Magnesia Springs.

The park is designed to take school and other educational groups. Groups need to reserve in advance.

This weekend is a special event at the park. For Father's Day, kids and dad can build birdhouses together. Park interpreters will teach you where to put them and what birds you will attract. This event is from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. at the visitor center and costs $10 for supplies.

Throughout the summer, Logoly hosts Discovery Day camps for children aged 6-12. Camps are $60 and include hikes, close-up nature studies and hands–on activities and crafts.

Call 870-695-3561 or email logoly@arkansas.com for more information about either event.

To get to Logoly, take U.S. 79 and at McNeil, go one mile on County Road 47 (Logoly Road) to the park.
