Little Rock Marathon Training - Week 8 (Half Marathon Week 4)

It's important to get the right shoes if you plan to run and it's probably best to train at least a little in them. They say you need to buy new shoes every 300-500 miles and you should never run a race with brand new shoes.

I suggest going to a store that specializes in running shoes like Easy Runner in the Bowman Curve Shopping Center (400 North Bowman Rd., Ste. 3, 501-221-0017). Those guys will watch you run and tell you what shoes you need.

This week, we're all going to run or walk 23 miles, with our largest being a 12 mile walk on Saturday. Check the schedule
