This year, mainly to keep myself on goal, I'm going to post the training schedule for the Little Rock Marathon every Friday and maybe throw in a few tips from fellow guides and experts (which I am not). You can register for the official training program online.
According to the training schedule this week, we should be able to walk 18 miles. Saturday's walk is an 8 mile walk. I have to admit, the longest walk I've done lately is about 3 miles but I will attempt an 8 mile walk on Saturday!
Next week's schedule: 3 miles on Monday, 4 on Tuesday, 3 on Thursday and then a 10 mile walk/run on Saturday. It doesn't sound at all bad when you put it like that! At this point, it's much the same for the half but Saturday's walk will only be 5 miles.
