New Apple Store?

An unofficial Apple fan site (http://www.ifoapplestore.com/) has a rumor that an Apple store will open up at the upcoming Promenade at Chenal. I can't confirm the rumor but I think it's be great to have an Apple store in Little Rock.

Its official. I spoke with apple this morning about it since i’m ordering a mac. They said that it WILL open spring 08 in the promenade. at first the rep thought it to be a rumor, but he looked it up and found it
Where’s the apple store?
I emailed the manager of the Promenade at Chenal, and he confirmed they are in the process of nailing down an opening date, preferably when the “grand opening” is (Spring of ‘09).
Rumor has it that Apple was once a prospect for the Promenade, but is considering backing out or has already backed out.
Apple’s website lists Arkansas job openings. Who knows? I bet we’ll get a store, but I’m not sure it will go in that center.
There are a few buildings that look ripe for Apple though.
What’s the latest update? It’s Oct 2008 and no Apple store!!!
as of March ‘09, Apple has not signed a lease for their Promenade space and we’re actively looking at other locations in Little Rock, which is one of the top metro areas with no Apple presence. Right now they are relying on the in store centers at Best Buy. After the economy comes back, Apple should make a permanent home here, probably 2011 if I were to guess.
