The Big Dam Bridge Party

Celebrate the opening of the world's longest pedestrian and bicycle bridge built and designed specifically for that purpose on September 28th. The grand opening kicks off with the party on the 28th and continues with a 5k and a bike race the following days.

I am very disappointed in the name of the bridge. I think people in other states think we are simple minded or back woods and the name that was picked for the bridge signifies just that. Surely someone could have found a more modern or classic name for the bridge.

Get a sense of humor – it’s a brige built to ride a bike over, not a national monument.
