Arkansas Lt. Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller Dies at 57

About one year ago, Rockefeller disclosed that he had myeloproliferative disorder, a bone marrow malfunction in which can lead to leukemia. He had undergone several bone marrow transplants which were unsuccessful in treating this disease. Rockefeller died at 10:37 a.m. July 16 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He was surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Lisenne, his mother, Barbara, three daughters, five sons, a granddaughter, a step-brother and a step-sister. He is the son of the late Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller. The Arkansas governor's office has updated his website in memorium.
