The UAMS Dorm Last Blast

Friday February 17, 2006
It was recently brought to my attention that almost everyone likes to watch something get blown up. If you're in that group of people, you should come to UAMS Sunday morning. If you're not, you should probably avoid the roads around the area early in the morning.

If you want to watch the buildings come down, a public viewing area will be in a State Hospital parking lot on Palm Street but I'm sure it will be televised all over the state. The building is set to be imploded at 9:00 am Sunday, February 19.

If you want to avoid it, the streets around the University Hospital will be shut down starting at 6:00 am and the highways around the hospital will be closed for a few minutes around 9:00. Visitors and personnel will be restricted during this time.

Personally, I think I'll watch it on the 6:00 news!
