Watershed Wonders & Penguin Power!

Friday:

• The Penguin Project Launch Party:
  The Penguin Project is the zoo's campaign to raise funds for a new African Penguin exhibit. This Friday (July 22) will be the Penguin Premier event at the zoo from 7:00-9:00. This event will feature Jackie, a special guest African Penguin to help launch the celebration. Penguin Power bracelets are on sale in the gift shop.

  The party is open to all ages and will be at the Civitan Pavilion.

• Black and White Party:
  After the launch party, you can visit the Rivermarket area anf Nu' Cuisine Lounge for the Black and White Party. A $5 cover will be charged and it will go towards funding the new penguin exhibit. There will be special "penguin" themed drinks and Jackie the penguin will be there too! Black and white casual attire is suggested so you can make her feel right at home.

  The party will be held at Nu' Cuisine Lounge on 225 E Markham in the Rivermarket from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm. You must be 21 to enter. Call 666-2406 ext. 108 for more information on either event!

Saturday

• Wonders of the Watershed: The Little Rock Zoo is having special "Wonders Of the Watershed" programs this Saturday (July 23). Among fun things to do will be special animal programs and special activties for the kids. Jackie the penguin may also make a guest appearance. Every Weekend
Don't forget that every Saturday and Sunday the Little Rock Zoo has keeper chats. The times and keepers are subject to change but you'll normally be able to learn more about the animals from a keeper at the following times:

• Big cats at 11:30 AM
• Capybara yard at 1:00 PM
• Great apes at 1:30 PM
• Alligator feeding on Saturdays at 2:00.
• Giraffe feeding is normally right after the alligator feeding, you might even get to share a specially prepared giraffe snack with them yourself.
