Little Rock To Get a Saks
Monday October 11, 2004
Saks Inc. announced that it will open a new prototype Parisian store in Little Rock in 2006. A "Parisian" store is an open air store that is pedestrian friendly, according to the announcement.
Saks is an upscale retailer much like Dillard's and will be direct competition for them. The intended location is the Pleasant Ridge shopping center off of I-430 and Cantrell. This is good news for shoppers in Little Rock!

Hey, For the record. Dilliard’s is nothing, NOTHING like Saks Fifth Avenue. I just moved to Little Rock from the Washington DC Area. I know Saks all to well. I may be out on a limb here, but Nothing in Little Rock resembles Saks. And, I don’t think this area is ready for anything vaguely resembling Saks. The demographics don’t support it.
